In its quest to prepare a workforce capable of providing quality care to all older Americans, the NHCGNE program has produced significant results.

A recent report by independent evaluators revealed our alumni/ae are highly productive and successful. Read the Report

As of Spring 2010, they had:

• taught over 11,000 undergraduate students in courses with a geronotological focus and mentored over 1,000 master’s students on topics related to the care of older adults;
• obtained over $72 million in grant support to strengthen the scientific basis for care of older persons; and
• disseminated over 1,100 publications on the results of their work, informing the field of geriatric nursing and health care.
