About the 2011
Leadership Conference

The invitation-only BAGNC Leadership Conference begins Wednesday, November 16th and ends November 18th..  

• All new, 2011 Scholars, Fellows, and Mentors are to attend an Orientation Program which begins at 8:15am on Wednesday, November 16th.
• Leadership Conference officially opens at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 16th and ends at 5:00 pm on Friday, November 18th.

This year the meeting is being held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel in downtown Boston.  It is attached the Hynes Convention Center where GSA’s meeting will be held.

All 2011 and 2010 Scholars and Fellows are required to attend both this meeting and the full Gerontological Society of America’s (GSA) Annual Scientific Meeting which immediately follows the 10th Anniversary BAGNC Leadership Conference. 

Although both meetings will be held using the same hotel, you need to register separately for the GSA meeting and hotel stay on their website.  Please request to stay in the same room

• October 17: Leadership Conference hotel room reservations due by 5 pm EST.

The 11th Anniversary BAGNC Leadership Conference Meeting Registration is on-line only. Everyone (including mentors) attending the Leadership Conference must register for the meeting by the stated date.

ONLINE Registration CLOSES: Monday, October 17, 2011, 5:00pm, EST

If you are a FAAN member, please sign in using your AAN account information.  If you do not remember your login information, click on the "Forgot your login information?" link on the AAN website.  You will need to remember what email address was used when you initially signed up.  There is no registration fee for you.
If you are a non-FAAN member & DID attend the 2010 Leadership Conference, please do not create a new account but sign in using the AAN account you created last year.  If you do not remember your login information, click on the "Forgot your login information?" link on the AAN website.  You will need to remember what email address was used when you initially signed up.  There is no registration fee for you.
If you are non-FAAN member & DID NOT attend the 2010 Leadership Conference please select "A New Customer" and follow the instructions. There is no registration fee for you.

BAGNC Alumni will register on-line as well.For 2011, there are 3 ways you may attend.

OPTION 1 You may attend the entire Leadership Conference.
There is a $400.00 registration fee for this option.

OPTION 2 You may attend the Mary Starke Harper (MSH) and Reception and Friday activities. There is a $275.00 registration fee for this option.

OPTION 3 You may attend the Friday Afternoon session, directly before the GSA meeting for free. If you are going to attend, there is a registration option called "Friday PM Only" that you will need to select.

Please make the check payable to AAN/BAGNC Leadership Conference and mail to Mallory Schindler, AAN/BAGNC, 1000 Vermont Ave., N.W. Suite 910, Washington, DC 20005.  Payment must be received by October 11, 2011, or your conference registration will be deleted.  So the payment is applied to the correct registration, please be sure to include your name with payment.

Your registration will be confirmed by email, therefore be sure to provide a current email address when registering.
